We are very aware in Catering Services the concerns of parents and staff of the recent issue relating to the contamination of horse meat within certain branded products.

Click here to go to Exams Congratulations to all students on their 2012 GCSE Results“The school is pleased to celebrate another very positive year of achievement at age 16. Over 72% of students achieved 5 or more high grade passes with 20% of them gaining 10 or more high grade passes. Of these 56% achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths. here were many individual success stories among overall levels of achievement. Including:- .
Headteacher Chris Leach praised both the ability of the young people and the professional support they get from the experienced and dedicated staff at the school.

We are very proud of all of them! ” 2012 A-Level CelebrationsAnother hugely successful year for our A-Level students at Great Wyrley High School. We’re very proud of all our students who, along with the staff, have worked extremely hard to achieve their successes. We are delighted that at A2 our pass rate remains high at 97% and over a third of these passes were graded at A or B.
Some outstanding results for our A2 students include; Jodie Bird A*A*A, Sam Morris A*A*A, Cameron White A*AA, Sophie Hardy A*A* C, Alysha Davis A and 3 Distinctions, Jordan Arblaster AA and Distinction.
At AS-Level there was also alot of success, in particular; Sam Layland AAAA, Emily Jenkins AAAA, Josh Pearce AAAB. A message to Year 7s who are joining us in September!A reminder to take photographs of your HUM BUG in a place of geographical, historical or religious importance! These can be local, national or international! Bring your printed off photos to your Geography, History or RE teacher in September and get VIVOS (a school reward)! Take as many photos as you like as each one will get a reward - but the HUM BUG must be in the photo! Have a good Hum Bug holiday! Free School Meal ApplicationsIf your child is eligible for Free School Meals, an online application form is now available at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals which removes the need to print and scan/email/post the form and so should make the application process easier and quicker for both schools and parents.
