A Message from the Headteacher

It gives us great pleasure to be introducing ourselves to you as the acting Executive Headteacher and Associate Headteacher of Great Wyrley.  We felt very privileged when Mr Watson and the governors approached Cheslyn Hay to support Great Wyrley, while the appointment of a new headteacher is on-going. The two schools already work closely together and share commitment to an outstanding provision for students in Cheslyn Hay, Great Wyrley and the surrounding areas such as Walsall and Wolverhampton. We will be continuing to work in both schools, over the next two terms, with Mrs Crookshank, having responsibility for the strategic planning and Mrs Adams being responsible for the daily running of Great Wyrley.

We have been really impressed with the warm welcome we have received and by the highly skilled and dedicated staff we have already met.  The students have been polite, open and a pleasure to meet and the governors are strongly supportive of the school and its drive to improve. It is clear that Great Wyrley is a school with great potential and we are both proud and excited by the opportunity to work with the school and the local community.  We have the highest expectations of staff and students and are determined to help all students achieve their potential over the coming months.

Mrs N Crookshank               Mrs K Adams

      (Executive Headteacher)      (Associate Headteacher)
